okay, this is the brand-new movie just released this weekend.
I’m not a fan of those kind of Greek mythology-based movies at all,
but because I’ve got a crush on Sam Worthington since i watched T4,
I wanted to check it out anyway.
(a starring actor made girls decision if they should go watch a movie in theatre.
 just like twilight crazy teenagers, you know.)

Anyway,

My friend and I watched it in 3D, but I felt 3D wasnt as impressive as i expected.
actually this was my first time watching a movie in 3D,
(how funny I passed up Avator. how funny!)
and yea, this is such a disappointing “3D in theatre” experience!!!

Think about it before you purchase your ticket, I’m serious.
Don’t pay extra bucks, my friends.
It is not “3D” that much. That’s just horrible! :(
Nothing is worth!!!

Well, what I felt briefly was:

300+LOTR+ a bit of Final Fantasy (videogame) + creatures from Star Wars

= EPIC FAIL.

- Gods’ shiny costumes (especially you, Liam Neison) look so cheesy.
I couldnt see any divinity or beauty in them, which Galadriel in LOTR does have.

- Creatures, looks like sandpeople in Star Wars, don’t fit in a scene at all.

…. Well, to be honest, all visual effect is cheesy and plain.
just like watching “power rangers” kinda TV shows…. pretty much disappointing.

- Hard to empathize with Peruses, or rather say, any of characters in the film.
That’s because there isnt enough depiction about each character.

-Disappointing ending. Kraken should be tougher…..


If there were NO Sam Worthington, I’d definitely give it up. seriously.
Its rare that i say this but….. “I want my $15 back!!!!”

I heard of the movie somewhere, sometime.
and this is my first time i’m actually interested in the movie. somehow.
I’m pretty sure Jude Law is NOT my reason why I rented it.
(He’s not my type except his british accent)
However,
I need to confess that I’ve never ever dreamed that I would think Jude is actually CUTE.
He looks sweet when he’s a little bit long-haired.
dang, i feel kinda vexed im actually saying that. lol

Anyway.

The story was okay.
It was not as good as I expected though.
It was about a girl with broken heart and how she conquers it.
Lizzy (Norah) meets a couple of unique people during her trip,
and the movie goes almost like an omnibus.

I like the way Wong Kar-Wai depicts his world.
Warm atmosphere.
Glamorous lighting.
Floating camera works.
Relaxing soundtracks…..
It was such a good bedtime movie, actually.
It was like I’m reading a storybooks while sipping a cup of tea and being cozy in my bed.
Jeremy(Jude)’s cafe looks comfy, and as the story develops, you might feel as if you are one of regular customers who always eat blueberry pie there and have some chat with Jeremy.

A comedy movie with a witty humor.
(If you like stupid kinda comedy movie, skip this.)

This is a story about a super frequent flier guy with tons of frequent flier mileage and airline’s special member’s cards, who falls in love with a super frequent flier woman.


(everything happens over airline and airplane, but he is not a pilot, by the way)


The ending was kinda disappointing, but i liked it overall.
No one puked, no one got naked, no drugs at all, but its funny.
Dialogues are pretty witty all the way through, and characters really have their “character” obviously.
Thats kinda comedy movie i always like.

George Clooney is damn cute and i dont know how many times i felt in love with him.
(my friends always laugh at me when i say he is cute.)
(how dare you guys!)
I liked Vera Farmiga a lot as well.
I liked the way she talks and behaves, and the tone of her voice too.
As Natalie said in the movie, she is what i wanna be when i hit around 30.
I’m so glad that the movie doesn’t focus on “smokin hot!” acter/actresses but its plot.
love it. so much.

Anyway,

I dont know if its going to be released in Japan, but i hope it will.
(and i hope they are not going to give a stupid Japanese title to it. seriously.)

I’ve been a fan of him since i was in jr. high.
I’ve never got crazy about him like girls who are in Team Jacob or whatever Twilight,
but he is always sitting on a huge, comfy, red velvet chair, which says “all-time favorite”.

Lately my friends use his name as a “magical word” when they try to convince me.

Geeeee, they know me so well….. lol

Those gurls do things neither CSI nor FBI does on the crime scene.
(I’m talking about the tv show, of course)

Biohazard removal and cleaning up other messes happen when people die.


the story can be gross, disgusting, creepy or whatever negative, but it is NOT
because of the well-conceived plot and fascinating actors.

oh, btw, Clifton Collins Jr. is cute in this movie unlike funny Romeo in BDS 2.
(I know my definition of “cute” is peculiar….)
